Adam Hunter, B Eng, MBA
With a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA, and 35 years of technical programming experience, Adam Hunter brings an extensive mix of analytical, project-related and business skills to the firm.
Over the last 25 years Adam has designed, conducted, analysed and reported on hundreds of studies in the areas of medicine (clinical trials and general research), education and certification (online examination/assessment design and delivery, performance analysis), HR (employee engagement and satisfaction, MSF /360 studies, membership surveys) and other general research projects (population studies, general research surveys, customer satisfaction surveys, etc.).
Duties at Verita involve project management, project design, data and statistical analysis, technical reporting, programming, web page design and administration, business development, and a host of other responsibilities.
Prior to Verita Adam held the position of Vice-President of Sales & Marketing for Innovative Waste Technologies, performed business and technical research work for the Canadian Manufacturers’ Association, and has worked outside of Canada in both Hong Kong and Japan.
G. William (Bill) Mercer, MES, PhD (Psychology)
From 2001 to 2009 Bill was the Director of the Research and Evaluation portion of UBC’s Applied Research and Evaluation Services (ARES) Department. When ARES ceased offering these services, he opened G.W. Mercer Consulting and became a Verita Associate.
Prior to that, he has been: Issue Manager of Impaired Driving Strategies (including the province-wide CounterAttack program) and Senior Policy Analyst in the Strategic Initiatives Department, both at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia; Senior Policy Analyst, B.C. Police Commission; Research Director and Senior Analyst/ Manager, Police Services Branch; Director, Drinking-Driving Counterattack Program; and Senior Research Associate, Policy Planning Branch, all at the BC Ministry of Attorney General. He also taught psychology at a number of universities for about a decade.
Maureen is a senior human resources and communication consultant with over 20 years’ experience helping clients achieve their business and organizational objectives through their people. Maureen offers a unique skill set combining a deep content knowledge in human resources and employee engagement with expertise in strategic employee communication, change management and project management. Maureen is the recipient of several awards for communication and a frequent speaker on employee communication and engagement.
